Antonina's Vineyard looks down over the Rincon Valley where the Santa Rosa Plain meets the western edge of the Mayacamas Mountains between the Sonoma and Napa Valleys. At one thousand feet elevation, our volcanic soils produce intense fruit on tight row spacing. Under a southwestern exposure, the grapes soak in the warmth and best sun angles, while we appreciate the amazing views and sunsets. Here the Marek Family tends a microvineyard planted mainly to Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, and Syrah , with a little Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Semillon and Mourvèdre for extra fun. In its 8th leaf now in 2015, most of the grapes are sold to wineries and wine makers, but enough is saved to produce small bottlings of our own "garagiste" estate wines. Antonina's Vineyard is named to honor Antonina Marek, a remarkable woman who loved California wines and vineyards and who encouraged us to develop this dream. Although we sell our grapes commercially, we are not a commercial winery, so none of our wines are available for sale.
