From H·L·R Cellars:
We get nice warm days and cool coastal evenings. This combined with the rocky, volcanic terroir yields fruit that produces balanced wines with deep color, aroma, and flavors characteristic of mountain fruit. The vineyard faces the south side of Mount St. Helena, one of the premier hiking areas in the region. We have approximately 11 acres of vines that were planted in the early 1990's. In 2012 we grafted some of the Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 7 vines to Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 15.
